Here at Derails, we know that shipping is an important thing: when you place your hard earned cash with us, you want to be confident that we'll get your order to you safely and securely without charging you the earth! This is why we have a pretty simple postage policy....
How quickly will you despatch my order?
With a dedicated team testing loco's, packing boxes and despatching orders all day long, almost all orders placed with us before midday leave on the same day with 90% of those placed after midday also departing on the same day. If there is a delay to shipping your order in any way, shape or form, we will endeavor to contact you at the earliest opportunity and keep you fully updated throughout the order process.
How much will my order cost to send?
Here at Derails we have a pretty simple postage policy! If your order is over £20 in total value, you will be eligible for our FREE UK economy shipping! your order is under £20, you are eligble for our super-value £2.99 economy shipping.
Depending on the value and size of your order, the ecomony shipping methods we use are either Royal Mail 2nd Class, Royal Mail Tracked 48 or myHermes economy courier.
What if I want it there quickly?
We know that sometimes you need your order as quickly as possible, whether you're trying to finish a specific piece of trackwork and you need that specific point or your layout is due to be at an exhibiton this weekend and you need to get that scenery a little more up to scratch - or you'd just like you brand new pre-ordered loco that little bit quicker than everyone else...don't worry, we've got you covered!
We offer two express services as optional upgrade, these are:
Royal Mail Tracked 24, next day tracked service - £3.99 per order
DPD Local courier, guaranteed next-working-day delivery after despatch* - £4.99 per order
These services jump the order priority queue and are despatched quickly to ensure that you get your order as quickly as possible, but please note, any order placed after midday is not guaranteed to be despatched on the same day.
* Unfortunately DPD Local is not available for those in Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland or Isle of Man.
What if I am outside of the UK?
Unfortunately at this point in time, we are unable to ship orders overseas in any circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
